The purpose of the DSA Assistance Program is to assist/support projects that enhance the quality of student life at the University of Toronto at Scarborough.
Any recognized Departmental Students’ Association at UTSC is eligible to apply for funding. Initiatives that are deemed the exclusive responsibility of the University’s operating budget will not be considered. Projects that will receive priority consideration include:
- Those promoted by students
- New projects that have not been previously funded
- Campus-wide education or Outreach programs
- Accessibility of Equity programs
- Those that demonstrate a need for financial assistance
Notes about the DSA Assistance Program:
- Please print and submit a DSA Assistance Program Form with your application.
- You have to apply to receive funding. All applications are due in SL- 157 by 5 PM.
- Please note that you may not be granted the entire amount you’ve requested! There is a committee that comes together to decide what each group/proposal is eligible for.
- The DSA Assistance Program works on re-imbursement. You will have to pay any costs associated with your event up-front. Once you submit receipts for your event, you will be reimbursed up to the amount the committee decides your group is eligible for.
For example: The committee sees your proposal for $500 but determines your DSA is only eligible for $200. You can submit receipts for costs totaling up to $200.
For more information, please see the DSA Assistance Program Guidelines.
